Funky vs Classic

Of all the trends I’ve seen popping up recently, I would have said the one I was least likely to try would be neon. Outside of some super bright swimsuits, it was something so out of my comfort zone it just never really entered my radar. I have however been obsessed with this cheetah print Par Realisation skirt since it first started showing up on my instagram feed all over last year—I just couldn’t justify the price point because I simply don’t wear skirts often enough, but this Moon River one in neon green immediately reminded me of it. Though I may invest in a more classic style like the more traditional Par Realisation one, this helped to scratch that itch for now.

Neon Pops

When it comes to neon it’s all about balance.

Neon is something that screams summer to me. That being said, it’s something that can easily be over the top if you’re not careful. I knew when I spotted this dress at Target a few years back, that I absolutely had to have it. The pattern, while busy, isn’t an eyesore and the different pops of neon punch it up a few more notches. I tend to keep the accessories simple to let the dress shine on its own and paired it here with some classic cat-eye shades and pink lipstick to bring out the pinks and yellow bralette to bring out the pops of yellow throughout.  What are some of your favorite ways to wear neon?
