Distressed, but Not Stressed

Dress: Fuzzi / Jacket: American Eagle / Shoes: Circus by Sam Edelman / Purse: Souvenir from Greece / Sunglasses: Lucky Brand
I knew as soon as I saw this dress it would be absolutely perfect for a day spent at Malibu Wines celebrating one of my favorite people. The light mesh material, beautiful floral print, and swingy tiers of ruffles made me feel like a fairy princess. We donned flower crowns, drank plenty of rosè and ate out weight in cheese. It was a perfect spring day celebrating my best friend and I look forward to many more days filled in the sun with friends (and wine)!

Floral Fever

Jacket: H&M / Sweater: Thrifted / Pants: Thrifted / Boots: Reaction by Kenneth Cole / Purse: Prada
Not sure if it’s just the much needed break from the rain and cold, but I have fully embraced spring in full force! I’ve been reading oodles of articles on spring trends, some of which I tried out today—not sure how I feel about the tucked pants, can’t tell if it’s too parachute pantlike for my taste, but I’m enjoying getting out of my comfort zone more and more.
Florals on the other hand are one spring trend I’ve never had a problem embracing. I’ve had these pants for years, and they still never get old! I love the combo of muted colors, and light pastels mixed in. They’re the perfect piece to transition into more outlandish floral patterns, which I fully intend to do before the season is through!

Spring Bling

Coat: H&M / Sweater: Willow & Clay / Jeans: H&M / Shoes: Circus by Sam Edelman / Clutch: Elizabeth Arden (thrifted) / Necklace: Forever 21

Though the weather is not nearly as pleasant today as it was last week (looking at you 15 minutes of torrential downpour–my shoes are still drying out), I was determined to still embrace the first day of spring in my usual fashion–on theme! We all know I love any excuse to celebrate, so I whipped out my blingiest necklace,  which felt perfect in all its florally goodness, and built my outfit from there.

Happy first day of Spring everyone!

The Perfect Date

A perfect pair for the perfect date.

Jacket: Bobeau/ Dress: Cupcakes and Cashmere/ Shoes: Reaction by Kenneth Cole

The muted colors of this floral dress are what drew me to it and I knew as soon as I saw the floral embroidery on this lightweight trench that I had to absolutely had to wear them together. The coat downplayed the sweetness of dress—as someone who spent most of her childhood in dresses that mostly resembled bedspreads better left in the 80s that’s something I’m always conscious of! The ties on the sleeves were a fun detail that helped keep them pushed up past my elbows when it warmed up later on that day. It was the perfect outfit for the perfect date— April 25th— not too hot and not too cold.
