I went on the hunt this weekend for something to wear to an upcoming 80s themed musical for a girlfriends birthday, and have not been able to stop wearing it. To keep it modern I paired it was a chiffon camisole and green slides and skinny jeans. Even though this is preppier than I’d usually go, the exaggerated shoulder pads and leather trim keep it feeling funky and playful. I didn’t expect to get so much wear out of anything I bought for this show, but that just goes to show how cyclical fashion is and how much fun it can be to play around with items your normally wouldn’t think to wear everyday.

Florals are something that I tend to shy away from between the months of October through February. Lately, my feed has been filling with darker toned versions more and more, which inspired me to whip out this blazer I’ve had for years. Its muted tones and subtle floral print were a great way to ease into this fall trend, and it was perfect for a chilly, grey day in LA.
How do you feel about fall florals? Save ’em for spring or embrace all year round?
