Let’s Talk Pearls

Let’s discuss!

Pearls have been popping up for quite a while both on the runways and social media feeds, but in recent months they seem to have had an increased surge.

Now I for one am fully on board with this trend, especially in the form of hair clips. It adds an unexpected elegance and playfulness to even the simplest of outfits, and I plan on adding more to my collection.

In my opinion pearls are here to stay and I’m all for it! Below are some of the other pieces I’ve got my eye on currently:

A simple, yet chic statement bag

These slides that would pair just as well with cutoffs, as with a floaty summer dress

This sweater with just the right amount of embellishment

Statement jeans I never knew I needed before now

I would love to hear–do you love this trend too?

I swore off denim skirts over a decade ago, but these fresh styles have me reconsidering everything I ever thought about them!

From ruffles to patchwork, to button details, these denim skirts are all a fresh take on an old classic. As I’ve said previously, I swore off denim skirts well over a decade ago, but these beauties have me eating my words and then some! I love the super 70’s vibes of the patchwork and the more professional take with longer midi lengths and ruffles. They pair perfectly with both a simple white tee or statement top. Anyone else loving this trend?

Below are some of my current favs I cannot wait to try!

Fashion I’d love to take a bite out of!

This season I have found myself fully embracing the trend of fruity fashion. From cherries to pineapple to citrus these prints scream summer. They’re both eye-catching while still coming across as effortless, which is the epitome of summer fashion—at least in this girls opinion. Does this trend wet your appetite too? (See what I did there?😉)

Is there a print more quintessential to summer than gingham?

The Pattern of Summer

It brings to mind picnics in the park, movies after dark and chilled rose with friends. Or perhaps it just brings to mind those things I associate most with summer–which happens to be my favorite season! For the longest time I avoided this print thinking it “too busy” or “noisy” but now that I’ve tried it, I can’t seem to get enough. It works as both a neutral or as a fun pop to any outfit in both classic black and white, pastels, and bright reds.

Below I’ve rounded up some of my favorites:

I am absolutely over the rainbow for this colorful trend–which is not something I ever thought I’d say! Whether you’re into a more subdued color palette or are ready to embrace the brighter pieces (or sequin ones) with open arms, there’s something for everybody! It’s not something just for littel kids anymore! Here are some of my favorite picks I’ve found over the last week. I will definitely be rocking this trend all summer long. Will you?

Let's TalkLavender

Every spring I embrace lighter colors. For me though, lighter colors mainly consist of ivories and pale pinks. This year I was exceptionally excited when I started seeing lavender popping up more and more on the runways and blogs. It’s feminine without being overly saccharinely sweet like shades of pale pink (or rather millennial pink) can sometimes be. From tops to dresses to pants it’s a shade that looks good on everyone! I plan on whipping out the few pieces I own in this hue, but below are also a few of the items I’m eyeballing currently as well.
