Make a Statement

Jacket: Veda / Top: Daydreamer / Jeans: Gap / Boots: Topshop / Sunglasses: Diff via FabFitFun
I love that this jacket dresses up a simple tank top and jeans, and makes it a standout, effortlessly cool outfit. When paired with magenta snakeprint boots, it adds a flair of rebelliousness without feeling like I’m trying too hard. Classic jackets are what I’ve been focused on adding to my closet this last year, but I’d be lying if I said this Veda one didn’t have me questioning whether I need a few good, flashy statement ones too.

Pastel Paradise

Dress: Slate & Willow / Coat: Althea / Boots: Gap / Purse: H&M

The mornings have been exceptionally cold and gloomy these past few days, so to combat that (and my need to match the sky apparently), I forced myself to turn away from all the greys and blacks in my wardrobe and embrace spring colors. I pulled out my favorite pastel pink coat, and threw on my favorite new booties. As another unexpected playful pop, I embraced my inner 90s child and added a string rainbow of hair clips across my head.

Heatwave White

Dress: Madewell / Hat:  / Boots: Gap / Clutch: Elizabeth Arden
Spring is in full spring and it’s starting to feel more and more like summers right around the corner—and nothing screams summer to me more than a little white dress. I piled on accessories that I’d want to wear to the beach or to brunch, and though I wear this dress all the time, it felt fresh and new. I look forward to wearing it all summer long, both as a coverup at the beach and even out to dinner and drinks swapping my flip flops for some strappy heels and a mini structured bag.

“Galentine’s” has quickly become one of my new favorite days. Not only is it a wonderful excuse to celebrate all the amazing ladies in my life, it’s a great excuse to draw out the celebration of Valentines Day. I love any excuse to celebrate love and plan on showering everyone close to me an extra large dose of it for the rest of the week, but for now I’d like to take a moment to celebrate all the women in my life who inspire me and give me the courage to keep going even when the going gets tough. You ladies know who you are!

Star of the Show

Dress: Tara Jarmon / Boots: Circus by Sam Edelman / Purse: See by Chloe

Ever since falling in love with this Scotch & Soda dress I’ve been trying more and more long sleeve styles. It’s something that never used to be on my radar, but I immediately fell in love with all the dainty details on this Tara Jarmon dress and definitely see my star prints in my future. I love the structure of the puff sleeves and shoulders—it’s a good way to ease into the playful style without completely going all in—the last time I went all in let’s just say it’s a good thing I had a charming personality and was 4! My penchant for dainty details has faded over the years, but I’m learning to embrace it once again thanks to pieces like this one.

Balancing Act

Sweater: Joie / Jeans: Levi’s / Boots: Doc Marten’s / Purse: Rebecca Minkoff [remixed] / Sunglasses: Banana Republic

If one were to describe my style I don’t think it would ever fit into a neat little box. I’m neither preppy, or completely funky, but I love finding ways to combine the two into a perfect, balanced mixture. My style changes day to day based off my mood, and that’s what makes fashion so fun!Who says ones style needs to be something that fits into a perfect box or category? People aren’t that easily explained, so why should how we dress be?

KaPow 💥

Sweater: Urban Outfitters / Pants: Cynthia Rowley / Boots: Sam Edelman / Bag: Furla / Earrings: Amazon

My sweater collection ranges from very simple to crazy patterned knit goodness (and of course a few ugly holiday ones thrown in for good measure), but this is one of my all time favorites. It’s oldy, but a goody, whose fun pop art print and bright colors never fail to put a smile on my face. To make the bright colors pop even more I chose a pair of bright yellow fringe earrings, that I’ve been struggling with (they just never felt quite right when any outfit I tried pairing them with), but when I put them on with this sweater the whole thing just felt right.
